Success by Design

Practical workshops that show how to use design to help achieve success

Design is a major contributor to the success of business. The New Zealand Government has identified strategic design as a fundamental and crucial enabler of international competitiveness and economic growth. In a recent survey by Fast Company, ninety per cent of senior managers in the US cited design as an integral part of their business strategy. Design is increasingly being seen as the driver of quality and for differentiating products and services.

Design is not just pretty window dressing. A well thought-out and planned approach to success by design is crucial. This requires a clear understanding of when, where and how design can be used in any business and how to plan and manage the design process.

By putting into action this ‘Design Thinking’ SMEs will be able to better leverage innovation and creativity in their businesses to help achieve their business goals.

ARMS Ltd has developed two workshops to provide this practical understanding. Our workshops are founded on and grow from first principles so that everyone “gets it”.  Participants who complete the workshops will be provided with the know-how and motivation to develop effective business strategies and systems that will help them succeed.

Who will benefit?
The workshops are ideally suited to any small to medium-sized business that wants to differentiate and add value to its products and/or services. The types of industries that could benefit are:
•    Food and wine/beverage producers
•    Tourism operators
•    Clothing/Fashion manufacturers
•    Service providers
•    Retail
•    Manufacturers

The presenter: Michael Lockhart
